She’s trying to get my number to call me and apologise. Luke’s sister messaged me saying ‘sorry she’s the way she is, you’re awesome’ lol. I’m not even grumpy just sick of defending myself but more than anything I don’t appreciate assumptions being made about my beautiful sweet defenceless daughter. Ok it’s over with! No more wasting brain space on this issue!

Thank you, she is a happy little girl even with these teeth giving her troubles lately. We have a lot of fun together :)
I doubt myself at a lot of things but raising Violet is not one of them! She’s never liked me in the almost 7 years I’ve been with Luke, which is fine because I don’t like her much either except I follow the “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” rule!

Some people on my friends list have posted about how they hate people posting Breastfeeding photos though so I didn’t want to offend anyone but it’s all natural anyhow, just a baby having her breakfast!
I am sick of feeling like I have to defend my parenting to Luke’s brother’s wife. Ever since I was pregnant she’s made comments about how Violet would be ‘feral’. I understand that Luke gives off a rough kinda vibe but he is an awesome dad. He knows what is and isn’t appropriate for a baby to see and hear. He doesn’t even swear around Violet, we are THAT committed to raising her right. But Luke put up a pic of V in a led zeppelin shirt on FB and she’s making comments like “what will her first words be like then?” and “she’s yours so you can raise her how you like”. UGH. Led zeppelin music is FINE for a baby to hear although usually all V hears is the instrumental lullaby versions of their songs anyway but still. It’s not like we’re playing her ICP or whatever. I shouldn’t feel like I need to defend myself to this woman who doesn’t even have children. She has a degree as a nurse but is far from the picture of health herself so obviously education doesn’t equal intelligence in this case. Yes I am taking the low road like that lol. I don’t doubt my parenting ability at all. I am a great mum and Violet is my world.
